Our client had purchased a block with an asbestos-ridden home on it, and wanted to build a new home that would suit the beach-side lifestyle.  Due to recent changes in flood levels, the home had to be built 1500mm off the ground. Our client had been quoted on slab homes, with exorbitant costs for bringing in soil and raising the ground level, which would have looked messy and unnatural. We were able to design a beautiful raised home that suited the area, the assisted the owners in finding a builder to build the home at a very good price.

Shepparton

Our client had purchased a block in a very remote area and had received quotes for over $2,000/sqm to build what he wanted. We designed a home that suited the block and took advantage of the views from every room in the house. We then organised for a 'dual contract' process, where the owner obtained the kit, and we helped the owner engage a builder to build the home. He saved over $300/sqm with luxury inclusions and upgraded insulation.

Coolum

Our client had bought a notoriously difficult uphill sloping block that faced directly into the Western sun. The ground was also extremely rocky with slope stability issues.

We were able to design a home that suited the block, and upgraded the windows and insulation to maximise the view, without the home heating up from the afternoon sun.

We also assisted the owner in engaging an independent builder, with allowances for inclusions so the owner could pick unique fitouts.

Woombye

Our client had  large section of his block and wanted to utlise it with a granny flat. However, that section was very steep and access was difficult.

We designed a very comfortable and cost-effective granny flat that maximised the views through large stacker doors and a wrap-around deck.

We also assisted the owner in engaging an independent builder, who built the home to completion for a great price.

Doonan

Our client had bought a block that was very steep and rocky, with a high bushfire overlay and only a small flat area. After speaking with building companies who only wanted to erect huge in-filled retaining walls at massive expensive, they were looking at the kit home option, although did not want to build it themselves.

We modified our Pole Home design and recommended one of our builder partners, who finished the home beautifully - complete with raised container pool. And the price was over $200/sqm less than other quotes!

Peregian

Our client wanted to build a studio granny flat with ensuite on a sloping residential block. However, new regulations required the second dwelling to be joined to the main home, which couldn't be done neatly.

We worked with our certifier to obtain an MCU quickly and without ridiculous fees and engineering, and engaged one of our builder partners to build the granny flat.

The result was a great little space for family or even a home office.

Bli Bli

Our client had a very tight space on a steep block and wanted to owner-build.

We came up with a great 2 bedroom raised design that took advantage of the views and the raked living area made the 90sqm internal area feel a lot larger and more open. With some back and forth with the certifier, we were able to get around a few planning issues and everything went ahead quickly

A great little second dwelling that will easily bring in $450-500/weekend on  Air BnB.
