Barn style homes are very popular. However, a misconception is that building a barn home from a portal frame shed kit is the best method. This is not the case and with the energy and building requirements for class 1 dwellings, it can be difficult to fit batts and plasterboard to a portal frame and purlin system. It can also be difficult to find builders, as shed erectors don't like fitting out homes, and carpenters don't like dealing with shed frames. 

 

The BARN is an example of how a a barn style look can be achieved with a standard stud frame design, without huge engineering expensive. 

 

The BARN looks great in corrugated or Longline wall sheeting (great for high fire areas), or even weatherboards or render.
